Storm Sweater - PetiteKnit
This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
It is perfectly fine to knit it in Varde from Hillesvåg.
Storm Sweater is knitted top-down with textured knitting. First, the back is knitted with short rows to shape a shoulder slope. Then stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are then joined at the front to continue knitting the front piece. The front and back are joined under the armhole and continue in the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. A ribbed neckline is knitted, folded double, and knitted down. Storm Sweater is knitted with textured knitting consisting of four different pattern segments.
Make a gauge swatch before you start knitting to measure the gauge – note that the gauge must match both in height and width for the measurements given on the front to be accurate. You can make a swatch following the chart in the knitting pattern.
Size guide
Storm Sweater should have a positive ease of about 26 cm in the smallest sizes but gradually less in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, taken on the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The finished sweater measurements are given on the front of the pattern. Note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a chest circumference of 116 cm and will in this example give a positive ease of 26 cm.
