Moby Sweater Man - PetiteKnit
The stylish sweater is perfect to knit in our beautiful Norwegian yarn Varde..
Moby Sweater Man is knit top-down with textured and cable knitting. First, the back is knit with short rows to shape the shoulder slope. Then stitches are picked up for the shoulders which are then joined at the front to knit the front piece. The front and back are joined under the armhole to continue knitting the body straight down. The sleeves are knit in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, a ribbed neckline is knit, folded double, and knit down.
Make a swatch to check which needle size you should use to get the correct gauge – note that this can vary from yarn to yarn. Be sure to wash the swatch before measuring because textured knitting can stretch when washed.
Size guide
Moby Sweater One should have a positive ease of about 10-15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement, taken on the wearer’s body, of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit best. For example, if you measure 103 cm around the chest (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size L. A size L sweater has a chest width of 118 cm and will in this example give a positive ease of 15 cm.
