The knitting pattern is in Swedish. You can advantageously knit the Jenny Jacket with two strands of merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.
Jenny Jacket is knitted from the bottom up in smock knitting. The body and sleeves are knitted separately, after which they are gathered on the same circular needle to knit the yoke. The yoke is finished at the top with shortened rounds to form the neckline. The body is knitted back and forth, while the sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technology. Finally stitches are picked up along the front edges, and buttonholes are knitted. The neck edge is then knitted.
Size guide
The Jenny Jacket should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 12-15 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-115) ) 115-125 (125-135) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front of the pattern. Before you start knitting, measure yourself to determine which size fits you best. If you e.g. Measuring 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has an overall width of 102 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 12 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the smallest size, as smock knitting grows a little with use.
