Jenny Jacket - PetiteKnit
The knitting pattern is in Swedish. You can advantageously knit the Jenny Jacket with two strands of merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.
The Jenny Jacket is knitted from the bottom up in smocking stitch. The body and sleeves are knitted separately, after which they are gathered on the same circular needle to knit the yoke. The yoke is finished at the top with short rows to shape the neckline. The body is knitted back and forth, while the sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges, and button bands are knitted. Then the neckline edge is knitted.
Size guide
The Jenny Jacket should have a positive ease of about 12-15 cm in relation to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-115) 115-125 (125-135) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size suits you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has a chest width of 102 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 12 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the smaller size, as smocking stitch grows a little with use.
