Olga Sweater is knitted from the top down in stripes. First, the upper section of the back is knitted back and forth, and a sloping shoulder is shaped using short rows while working the stripes. The shoulders are then knitted separately back and forth on a circular needle. They are joined at the front to knit the front piece. The front and back are then joined to knit the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle in stripes. The sleeves are knitted from stitches picked up around the armhole. The folded neckband is knitted last from stitches picked up around the neckline.
Size guide
Olga Sweater is designed to have approximately 23 cm of positive ease in the smallest sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, taken around the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are shown on the front of the pattern. Please note that these measurements only apply if you maintain the stated gauge. Measure yourself before you begin knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 95 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size M. A size M sweater has a bust circumference of 118 cm and, in this example, will provide 23 cm of positive ease.
