This knitting pattern is in Swedish from Petit Knit.

It works excellently with light and soft Alpaca 3 together with 1 thread Soft Silk Mohair.

The Wednesday Sweater is knitted from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, while shaping the shoulder slope with short rows to achieve a good fit. Then the shoulder parts are knitted separately back and forth on a circular needle. These are joined at the front to shape the front piece. The front piece and back are then joined to shape the body, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are knitted out from picked-up stitches along the armhole and knitted in the round on circular needles and double-pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. The large turtleneck collar is finally knitted from picked-up stitches, and ribbing is knitted with twisted stitches.

Knit a swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge.

Size guide

The Wednesday Sweater should have a positive ease of about 25 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The fit is oversize. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note that the chest width is measured just under the armhole, and decreases are knitted down the entire body so that the sweater tapers slightly at the bottom. Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that fits you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has a chest width of 115 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 25 cm.
