This knitting pattern is in Swedish from Petit Knit. It works great with a thread of Heavy Merino and a thread of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.

The Wednesday Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, while the slope of the shoulders is shaped with shortened rounds to get a good fit. After this, the shoulder parts are knitted separately back and forth on circular needle. These are brought together at the front to form the front piece. Front piece and back are then joined to form the torso, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked from picked up sts along the sleeve opening and worked around on circular needles and double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technique. The large polo collar of the neck is finally knitted from picked up stitches, and elastic is knitted with twisted stitches.

Knit a test patch to find the stitch size that gives you the right stitch strength.

Size guide

The Wednesday Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 25 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The fit is oversized. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110- 120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note that the excess width is measured just below the armhole, and that decreases are knitted down the entire body, so that the sweater tapers a little at the bottom. Before you start knitting, measure yourself to find the size that fits you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has an overall width of 115 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 25 cm.
