Kåresjal / Kåre Scarf
This is the crochet pattern for the Kåresjal, a versatile, elegant, and simple crocheted shawl. It can be made in almost any size and color! The pattern is best suited for experienced beginners and up, depending on the type of yarn and how many different colors you use. A thinner yarn and more colors will increase the difficulty level slightly. Around the edge, a so-called “i-cord” is crocheted as a finishing touch. The main stitches used are single crochet and slip stitches.
Sizes: The scarf can be crocheted in any size, but increases will happen at the same rate regardless of how many rows are crocheted.
Yarn suggestions: Choose a yarn that feels nice against the neck. I recommend one that is about 150-250 m/50 g in thickness. The thinner the yarn you use, the nicer the drape and smaller stitches the shawl will have, but it will take a little longer to crochet, and vice versa with a thicker yarn.

I used 3 colors of Alpaca 2 from Isager. My shawl is about 114 cm long and 33 cm wide and weighs a total of 93 g. I used 30 g of each color + 3 extra grams for the i-cord edge.
Crochet hook: Choose a crochet hook that fits the yarn, plus one 1 mm smaller. I used a 3.5 mm and a 3.0 mm crochet hook.
