The Valerie Blouse is knitted top-down in one piece. The blouse is knitted back and forth like a cardigan with a slanted front opening, which is finally closed with buttons. The yoke is designed so that sleeve increases are knitted first, followed by raglan increases. Short rows are knitted to shape the neckline. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique.

Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarn may stretch when washed and worn.

The Valerie Blouse should have a negative ease of about -2 cm compared to your bust measurement.
