Terrazzo slipover - Petite Knit

The Terrazzo Slipover is knit from top to bottom. First, the back is knit, then the shoulder sections where stitches are picked up to knit the front piece. The back and front pieces are joined under the armhole to shape the body, which is knit in the round on circular needles and split at the bottom with a slit on each side. Finally, ribbed edges are knit along the armhole, and the turtleneck collar is knit from picked-up stitches along the neckline. The stitches in the ribbing are knit twisted, creating a distinct stitch definition.

Knit a swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the swatch before measuring the gauge. If you knit with the recommended yarn, be aware that it grows slightly after washing – therefore it is important to wash the swatch before measuring the gauge.

Size guide

The Terrazzo Slipover should have a positive ease of about 13 cm in relation to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, taken on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover are given on the front of the pattern. Note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size fits you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A slipover in size S has a chest width of 103 cm and will in this example give a positive ease of 13 cm.

22 stitches x 24 rows in ribbing (1 twisted knit, 1 twisted purl) on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking (gauge for the turtleneck)

Needle suggestion: Circular needles 4 mm (40, 60 and 80 or 100 cm)
