Carve a ribbon gate - Weave a ribbon!

Finally, we can welcome master craftsman Kerstin Neumuller to Gothenburg!

Carve a band loom - Weave a band!

With her book "Simple weave - Weaving without a loom," Kerstin Neumüller wants to show that weaving neither has to be difficult nor bulky. During this course, she also demonstrates how you can make your weaving tools yourself with just a few tools! Here you will learn how to carve a band loom and then weave bands on it. The course is an excellent introduction to weaving and provides a solid foundation if you want to continue with larger projects and tools later. Materials are included. The course is suitable for both beginners in carving and weaving and those with a bit more experience. Basic hand strength is a prerequisite to be able to carve a band loom.

Day one - Carving day

Kerstin shows her small band looms that look like girls, horses, and houses and tells how she started carving them. During the day, you will carve your own band loom under Kerstin's guidance.

Day two - Weaving day
How do you decide what pattern the band should have? We talk about the possibilities when weaving with a band loom and then weave. Use your newly carved band loom or borrow one of Kerstin's! You will have time to try different band patterns and weave enough to take home some bookmarks or bracelets.
