This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
It is perfectly suitable for knitting it in Varde from Hillesvåg.
Storm Sweater Man is knitted from the top down in textured knitting. First, the back is knitted with short rows to shape the shoulder slope. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, which are joined at the front to continue knitting the front piece. The front and back are then joined under the armholes and continue into the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. A ribbed neckband is knitted, folded double and knitted down. Storm Sweater Man is knitted in textured knitting consisting of four different pattern segments.
Make a gauge swatch before you begin knitting to measure your tension – note that the gauge must match both vertically and horizontally for the measurements stated on the front to be correct. You can make swatches from the charts in the knitting pattern.
Size guide
Storm Sweater Man is designed to have approximately 10–15 cm of positive ease in the smallest sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a body bust measurement of 86–91 (91–96) 96–101 (101–107) 107–113 (113–119) 119–124 (124–132) 132–144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern. Note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you begin knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if your bust measures 99 cm around (or at the widest point of your body), you should knit a size M. A size M sweater has a bust circumference of 112 cm and will provide 13 cm of positive ease in this example.
