This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
Works perfectly with two strands of our Soft Silk Mohair.
The Stockholm Sweater V-neck is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch with a double strand of silk mohair. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, after which stitches are picked up for the shoulder sections along the back’s cast-on edge. The shoulder sections are knitted separately with short rows to shape a wedge. The front and back pieces are joined under the armhole, and the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up along the armholes for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, where a ribbed edge is knitted with decorative decreases on the right side at the V-neck point and corresponding increases on the wrong side. This neckline edge is then folded down and sewn on the wrong side. The Stockholm Sweater V-neck is therefore assembly-free except for the folded neckline edge.
Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives the correct gauge.
Size guide
The Stockholm Sweater V-neck should have a positive ease of about 15 cm relative to your bust measurement (i.e., the sweater should be about 15 cm larger than your body circumference). Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size fits you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S, which has a finished bust circumference of 105 cm. This gives you a positive ease of 15 cm.
Note that decreases are knitted on the body, so the sweater measures about 5 cm less at the hips than at the bust. You can omit these decreases if you do not want the sweater to taper at the bottom.
