The knitting pattern is in Swedish and can be knitted with one strand Merino and two strands Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.

The September Jacket is knitted top-down in brioche stitch with one strand Sunday and two strands Thin Silk Mohair. First, the back piece is knitted, then the right shoulder part and left shoulder part. These three parts are joined to knit the body, which is knitted back and forth in brioche. The sleeves are knitted from picked-up stitches in the armhole. Finally, rib edges are knitted along the jacket's front edges to form button bands, as well as a rib edge in the neckline. The pockets are also knitted in brioche and sewn on last. The jacket closes at the front with large snap fasteners.

Make a swatch before you start knitting to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Be aware that the swatch should be washed and blocked before you measure the gauge. This is important because brioche knitting expands after washing and use.

Size guide

The September Jacket should have a positive ease of about 5-8 cm. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL correspond to a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm. Measure yourself with a tape measure before you start knitting to assess which size fits you best. Example: you measure yourself to 94 cm around the bust (or stomach, if that is the widest part of your body). This means you should knit a size M.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL

Jacket measurements: Chest width: 90 (97) 100 (107) 117 (127) 133 cm
