Baggy Hat - PetiteKnit

The baggy hat is a simple hat with a slightly baggy fit at the back of the head and a rolled edge at the bottom. The hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up on circular needles and finished at the top with decreases knitted on double-pointed needles. The hat stretches with use (if the suggested or similar yarn is used) to a gauge corresponding to 17-18 stitches per 10 cm – this is calculated in the pattern in relation to the fit. You can vary the length of the hat to achieve the style you want. The top with decreases measures 5-6 cm.

Measure your head circumference to find the size that fits you. As a guideline, the smaller size is designed for children, while the larger sizes fit adults.

Knit a swatch to ensure you achieve the correct gauge before you start.

Sizes: Fits a head circumference of 50-54 (55-58) 58-62 cm

Measurements: Width: 19 (21) 23 cm, length: 25 (28) 31 cm

Gauge: 19 stitches x 28 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm

Needle suggestions: Circular needle 4.5 mm (40 cm), double-pointed needles 4.5 mm
