Ellens Cardigan is knitted from the top down with raglan increases, back and forth on circular needles. The neckline is shaped using short rows. The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch, while ribbing is knitted along the front edges to create a button band. Buttonholes are made at the end and are therefore not knitted as you go. Internal pockets are knitted on the body. The sleeves are knitted in the round in stockinette stitch on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique.
