Olive Top / Pure Silk

Knitting for Olives Olive Top – with thin shoulder straps, a deep V-neckline and back, and an all-over lace pattern – is a camisole to celebrate the arrival of summer in, a truly versatile garment to wear layered or on its own.

Olive Top is knitted from the top down, beginning by shaping the front and back upper triangles back and forth. All the pieces are then joined, and the body is worked in the round to the hem, which is sewn on the wrong side to create a scalloped edge. The shoulder straps are knitted with live stitches and sewn together at the shoulders. Olive Top is size-inclusive and designed to be hip-length and close-fitting.

The Olive Top leaf-shaped lace pattern is only provided as charts in the pattern.

Knitting needles: 3 mm circular needle and 2 double-pointed needles

Gauge: 34 sts and 39 rows = 10 cm in Olive Top [Chart C (C, C, C, C, C, CC, CC)] with 3 mm needles after blocking.

Notions: stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, 4 lengths of scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, 2 safety pins, and a needle.
