Our Olive Top - with thin straps, a deep V-neckline at the front and back, and a fully covering stitch pattern - is a camisole to celebrate summer and an essential and versatile little garment perfect for layering or wearing on its own.

The Olive Top is knitted from the top down, starting by shaping the front and back top triangles back and forth. All parts are then joined, and the body continues around to the hem, which is sewn on the wrong side, creating a scooped edge. The shoulder straps are knitted with live stitches and sewn together at the shoulders. The Olive Top is one inclusive size and is designed to be hip-length and fitted.

The Olive Top stitch pattern is charted only.

In the same family, you will also find the sister patterns Olive Turtleneck, Olive Sweater (kids), Olive Cardigan, Olive Cardigan (kids), and Olive Scarf.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)

Finished measurements: Length from shoulder to hem: 46 (50, 55, 59, 61, 64, 67, 69) cm [18 (19¾, 21¾, 23¼, 24, 25, 26½, 27¼)]"; length from armhole to hem: 24 (27, 30, 33, 33, 35, 35, 35) cm [9½ (10¾, 11¾, 13, 13, 13¾, 13¾, 13¾)]"; bust circumference: 71 (77, 85, 92, 99, 115, 124, 132) cm [28 (30¼, 33½, 36¼, 39, 45¼, 48¾, 52)]" with an intended negative ease of about 4-14 cm [1½-5½]

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Pure Silk or Cotton Merino or Merino (250 m [273 yd] per 50 gr [1.8 oz]), fingering weight yarn; fingering weight yarn, 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) skeins

The sample is in Cotton Merino, Piglet colorway

Needles: 3 mm / US2.5 circular needle and 2 double-pointed needles

Gauge: 34 sts and 39 rows = 10 cm [4"] in Olive Top [Chart C (C, C, C, C, C, CC, CC)] with 3 mm / US2.5 needles after blocking

* Negative ease means the finished garment may be smaller than the actual body measurements due to the design’s elasticity.
