The Maggie Vest can advantageously be knitted in our Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive

The Maggie Vest is knitted from top to bottom. First, the back is knitted with increases. Then stitches are picked up for the shoulder sections at the top of the back, and the shoulders are knitted back and forth with decreases and increases. The shoulder sections and the back piece are then joined under the armhole to continue into the body, which is knitted back and forth on circular needles. Along the armhole, a ribbed edge is knitted. Finally, button bands are knitted along the front edges and along the neckline.

Size guide

The Maggie Vest should have a positive ease of about 5 cm. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished vest are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A vest in size S has a chest width of 96 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 6 cm.
