This knitting pattern is in Swedish. It is excellent to knit with two strands of mohair from Knitting for Olive.

Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition is knitted from the top down. That is, you start by knitting the elastic at the neckline, then the yoke, then the torso and finally the sleeves. The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch, while the edges are knitted in rib.

Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition has a round yoke. It is formed by progressively knitting increases of four rounds evenly distributed on the yoke.

Size guide and measurements

Note that you can only start from the measurements in the pattern, if the knitting strength is maintained.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of around 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition should have a range of motion (positive ease) of about 10 cm (ie the cardigan should be about 10 cm larger than you in circumference). This means that if you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (measure yourself with a tape measure around the bust or at the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S, which has a width of 100 cm. This gives you a range of motion of 10 cm.

Yarn suggestions: 200 (200-225) 225 (250) 250 (275) 300 (325) 350-375 g Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn (25 g = 212 m) or Thin Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m) or Tilia from Filcolana (25 g = 210 m) or Brushed Lace from Mohair By Canard (25 g = 210 m). Note that it is knitted with two threads at the same time and that the yarn consumption indicates the total yarn consumption. 9 buttons (ø = 15 mm)

The green cardigan in the picture is knitted in two strands of Thin Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn in the color Dusty Light Green (8521).
