The Saltholmen Shawl is named after the place where the boats depart for Gothenburg’s southern archipelago.
A place surrounded by the sea and its waves… the gentle waves on a sunny summer day, as well as the high waves of a wild storm when the sea boils and churns.
Saltholmen is a long, asymmetrical shawl knitted from one tip, with its curved shape formed by increases and decreases along the edges.
Its textured pattern, described clearly in the instructions, is designed to imitate the waves of the sea. The shawl is finished with a picot bind-off along one long edge, like a string of water droplets.
The shawl is knitted in Isager Jensen Yarn on 4 mm needles, using 300 g.
I wish you many enjoyable knitting moments as you knit the Saltholmen Shawl!
