Luna - mottled light brown - 450

In autumn 2022, a new yarn quality was introduced—Luna Lambswool Yarn!

Luna is a very springy 2-ply hand-knitting yarn.

Vidde Lambswool Yarn and Varde Fur Wool Yarn are Luna's companions and are excellent for knitting together in the same garment.

Luna lambswool yarn is spun from Norwegian lambswool C1 Fine, 28 microns. This means that only the finest fibers from Norwegian white sheep are used in the production of Luna lambswool yarn.

The yarn is approximately 200 m/100 g.

Gauge: 18 stitches x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4.5–5 mm needles.

Nm 4/2, 2-ply, 100% Norwegian wool.

The wool from the sheep is Svanen-certified. This makes this fiber suitable for airy, soft, and lightweight carded yarns. Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk has increased its focus on the environmental impact of the dyes used in our production. We demonstrate this by using only GOTS-approved dyes in our Luna lambswool yarn color range. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) requires dyes to be biodegradable and non-toxic. The final product must not contain allergens or residues of hazardous chemicals. GOTS-approved dyes are permitted in the organic production of yarn and textiles.
