The Ivy Cardigan is knitted from the top down in one piece back and forth on the needle. The yoke is constructed so that first the shoulder increases are knitted, then the sleeve increases, and finally the raglan increases. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges and neckline for the button bands.
Size Guide
The Ivy Cardigan should have a positive ease of about 2 cm compared to your bust measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The finished garment measurements are given on the front of the pattern (Note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has a finished bust width of 92 cm and will, in this example, provide a positive ease of 2 cm. The measurement chart is available here.
