Tibetan handspun - DK/ 1- thread
Length: 50 - 60 meters (51 yards)
Weight: 50 grams
Needles: 4-5 mm
Fiber: 75% Yak/25% Merino
Here, Shangdrok used three natural colors of Yakull: white, gray and brown, to create 8 different shades of natural color. The yarn also has 25% merino so they can retain the softness of the short fiber yakull and get the strength found in the long merino fiber.
This single strand handspun yarn shows the original color and texture. A unique yarn can twist in cable knitting or in pattern knitting, so it works best in plain or garter stitch. It is also fine to knit together with a Soft Silk Mohair, for example
The yarn's name is inspired by the Tibetan plateau. This yarn is perfect for a lover of natural undyed colors. We in the shop call this beautiful yarn in its little skeins the babies!
