This knitting pattern is in Swedish.

It is perfectly possible to knit it in Hille's wave Varde or Heavy Merino and Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.

Sonja Sweater is knitted from top to bottom in stocking stitch. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, after which stitches are picked up for the shoulder parts along the lining edge of the back. The shoulder sections are designed with shortened turns. Front and back pieces are joined under the armhole, and the torso is knitted in the round on circular needle. Along the armholes stitches are picked up for sleeves, which are knitted in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neck opening, where a double-fold elastic edge is knitted which is knitted down on the wrong side. Sonja Sweater is assembly-free. Make a sample to find the stitch size that gives you the right stitch strength.

Size guide

Sonja Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approximately 30 cm in the smallest sizes but gradually less in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 ( 100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the stick strength is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to determine which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has an overall width of 120 cm and will in the mentioned example give a range of movement (positive ease) of 30 cm.
