For the book Poems in Stitches, designer Solveig Hisdal drew inspiration from traditional patterns and techniques from, among others, textiles, rosemaling chests and cupboards, wallpapers, folk costumes, and chest cloths. She visited museums to gather knowledge and inspiration, using this to create a book full of knitted treasures. The book was published in 1997 and is unfortunately not available for sale today.

Model 146 is knitted in Ask Wool Yarn (formerly Hifa 2). The yarn package contains the pattern and enough yarn for the largest size.
Inspired by the board pattern from Eiken found at the Vest-Agder County Museum. The sweater is knitted in a simple weave pattern decorated with a yellow band at the neck.

26 sts / 30 rounds pattern = 10 x 10 cm
Circular needle 2.5 and 3 mm
