Poems in masks - Solveig Hisdal, mod. 140

To the book Poems in masks designer Solveig Hisdal drew inspiration from traditional patterns and techniques from, among other things, textiles, rose-mala chests and cupboards, wallpapers, bunads and tablecloths. She went to museums and gained knowledge and inspiration, and used this to create a book full of knitted treasures. The book was published in 1997 and is unfortunately not available for sale today.

Model 140 is knitted in Ash wool yarn (formerly Hifa 2). The yarn package contains a pattern and enough yarn for the largest size.
Inspired by flowers painted on the inside of a coffin lid found at Vestvågøy Museum.
