Celeste Sweater - PetiteKnit
This knitting pattern is in Swedish
It is perfectly fine to knit with our fine, soft and pill-free Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive instead.
As a base, we used the Heavy Merino color Brown Bear and then one skein each of Wheat, Bark, Deep Petroleum Blue and knit with double strands of Merino Unicorn (purple)
The Celeste Sweater is knit top-down with a circular yoke. First, the neckband is knit, then the yoke is knit in the round in pattern knitting with 5 different colors according to the chart. Short rows are knit after the yoke's pattern knitting to raise the back and thereby create a good fit. The body and sleeves are knit in the round in stockinette stitch and both are finished with a ribbed edge.
Be aware that pattern knitting often should be done on needles 0.5-1 mm larger than for solid color stockinette stitch. Therefore, make a swatch in both pattern knitting and solid color stockinette stitch before you start knitting.
Size guide
The Celeste Sweater should have a positive ease of about 15 cm relative to your bust measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 85 cm around the bust (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size XS. A sweater in size XS has a chest circumference of 100 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 15 cm.
