It is perfectly possible to knit in our fine Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive instead.
As a base, we took the Heavy Merino color Brown Björn and then a skein of Wheat, Bark, Deep Petroleum Blue and knit with double thread with merino Unicorn (purple)
The Celeste Sweater is knitted top down with a circular needle. First the neckline is knitted, and then the yoke is knitted around in pattern knitting with 5 different colors according to the diagram. Shortened rounds are knitted, after the pattern knitting of the yoke, to knit the back higher and thus create a good fit. The body and sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch and both are finished with an elastic edge.
Be aware that pattern knitting should often be knitted on a 0.5-1 mm coarser stitch size than solid plain knitting. Therefore, do a sample in both pattern knitting and solid plain knitting, before you start knitting.
Size guide
The Celeste Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 15 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110 -120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measures 85 cm around the bust (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size XS. A sweater in size XS has an overall width of 100 cm and in the mentioned example will provide a range of motion (positive ease) of 15 cm.
