The Nore sweater is knitted in Ask wool yarn with a stockinette stitch body and a textured yoke pattern. The sweater is knitted from the bottom up and the sleeves are knitted from the top down. The sweater can also be knitted in Sol lambswool yarn or Tinde pelts wool yarn.

About Ask wool yarn
Ask wool yarn is made from wool from the Norwegian White Sheep. The Norwegian wool is resilient and has an incredibly good hold, which makes the garments keep their shape and stay nice for a long time. Ask is spun with 2 threads and is light and airy. Very well suited for patterned knitting with multiple colors.

About Sol lamull yarn
Sol Lamull yarn is a soft and lovely yarn, made from the finest fibers from Norwegian white sheep. All colors in our lambswool qualities are GOTS-certified. Sol can be used in combination with and as an alternative to Tinde Pelsull yarn.

About Tinde pelsull yarn
Tinde Pelsull yarn is made from wool from Norwegian Pelssau. The pelsull is long-fibred and glossy, with a natural hairy expression. It has natural gray and black fibers, and it is the natural gray base that we dye all our pelsull colors on. This gives the yarn a beautiful melange and a great play of colors. Tinde can be used in combination with and as an alternative to Sol Lamull yarn.

Washing instructions
It is always a good idea to wash the garment after you have finished knitting it. This helps to soften the wool, even out the stitch pattern, and remove any excess dye or dirt that may have gotten on the garment during knitting. In addition, the garments look extra nice if you lightly steam them before use.
We recommend hand washing your wool garments. Soak the garment together with a mild wool soap. Gently press the water out of the garment by rolling it in a towel and then dry the garment flat on a dry towel. Feel free to shape the garment when laying it out to dry, so you get the correct measurements on the finished garment. Yarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk can be washed on gentle wool programs (wool cradle) in most modern washing machines. All machines wash differently, and we cannot guarantee that the garment will not felt in your machine. We recommend knitting a test swatch and washing it in the machine before possibly washing a whole garment. Wool can withstand being spun, but tumbling can cause it to felt. Always wash one garment at a time if you wash in a machine, and dry the garment flat on a towel. Yarn that is not superwash-treated should not be washed on any wash program other than wool programs.
