For the Ivy Top, you can choose to knit with Trio 2 from Isager Yarn or Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive.
For Trio 2 – click HERE!
The Ivy Top is knitted from the top down. The top is constructed by first working shoulder increases and short rows, followed by working the front and back separately back and forth on the needle. The front and back are then joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle.
Make a swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarn may stretch during washing and wear.
Size guide
The Ivy Top is designed to have negative ease of approx. -6 cm compared to your bust measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements for the finished top are shown on the front page of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you begin knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A size S top has a bust circumference of 84 cm and will provide the stated -6 cm of negative ease in this example. A measurement chart is available here.
