MATERIALS
250 (300) 350 g Isager Jensen Yarn, color 6s = A (main color)
100 (150) 150 g Isager Alpaca 1, color E7s = A (main color)
2 × 100 g Isager Merilin, colors 9s and 59s. The 2 colors are used freely in B.
50 g Merilin, color 10s = C
50 g Merilin, color 1s = D
Merilin is knitted with 2 strands.
MEASUREMENTS
Half bust circumference: 52 (62) 72 cm
Raglan height: 21 (24) 26 cm, corresponding to half the bust circumference.
Total length: 53 cm + 4–6 cm edging.
Upper-arm circumference: 34 (44) 54 cm
Inner sleeve length: 38 cm + 6 cm edging. Knit the edging longer if you want a longer sleeve.
If you want the sweater to be longer, begin with one of the other patterns or stripes.
The amount of yarn may vary considerably depending on the desired width and length.
Therefore, the quantities below are approximate.
CONSTRUCTION
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. First,
knit the body to the armhole, and bind off stitches for the armholes. Then knit the sleeves to the armholes, and
ends on the same pattern row, which means that any additional length or shorter sleeve is adjusted at the beginning of the sleeve. The sleeves are joined to
the armhole, and continue on circular needles across the body and sleeves, while decreasing on both sides of the sleeves. The neckband can be knitted back and forth as in the swatch, or you can choose to sew and cut away the neck section. Finally, knit the neckband to the desired height.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
No. 4.5 for the pattern – use needles one size smaller for the edges
