MATERIALS
250 (300) 350 g Isager Jensen Yarn color 6s = A (base color)
100 (150) 150 g Isager Alpaca 1 color E7s = A (base color)
2 x 100 g Isager Merilin color 9s and 59s. The 2 colors are used freely in B.
50 g Merilin color 10s = C
50 g Merilin color 1s = D
Merilin is knitted with 2 strands.
MEASUREMENTS
Half chest width: 52 (62) 72 cm
Raglan height: 21 (24) 26 cm fits the half chest width.
Total length: 53 cm + edge of 4 – 6 cm.
Upper arm width: 34 (44) 54 cm
Inner sleeve length: 38 cm + 6 cm edge. Knit the edge longer if a longer sleeve is desired.
Optionally start with one of the other patterns or stripes if a longer sweater is desired.
The amount of yarn can vary considerably depending on the desired width and length.
Therefore, the yarn amounts below are indicative.
CONSTRUCTION
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. First
knit the body piece (the torso) to the armhole, and cast off stitches for the armhole. Then knit the sleeves to the armhole, and
ends on the same pattern row, which means that extra length or shorter sleeve is adjusted at the beginning of the sleeve. The sleeves are set into
the armhole, and continue on circular needles over body and sleeves, while decreasing on each side of the sleeves. The neckline can be knitted back and forth like the swatch, or you can choose to sew and cut the neck piece off. Finally, knit the neckline to the desired height.
