Isager Tweed - Purple

ISAGER TWEED is a single-ply yarn made from a blend of wool and mohair. The yarn has a rustic look, but the mohair fiber helps make it remarkably soft and gives it a lustrous sheen. If you knit this beautiful yarn together with other Isager yarns, such as Soft Mohair or Alpaca 1 or 2, it works perfectly well when knitted in the round on circular needles. However, because the yarn is single-ply and is therefore spun in only one direction, it may tend to skew when knitted in the round on circular needles if used on its own without a strand of another yarn. We recommend knitting back and forth on circular or straight needles, but as mentioned, there is no problem knitting it together with other yarn qualities; then it works perfectly well when knitted in the round on circular needles.

Isager Tweed: size 3 needles = 26 sts / 32 rows
Isager Tweed + Alpaca 1: size 3 needles = 22 sts / 30 rows
Isager Tweed + Alpaca 2: size 3.5 needles = 20 sts / 26 rows
Tweed + Silk Mohair: size 4 needles = 18 sts / 24 rows

Care instructions

Wool should be hand-washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool cycle that uses cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the temperature constant throughout the washing and rinsing process, and do not exceed 28 degrees. The knitted garment can preferably be lightly spun after washing. Place the garment in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After spinning, lay the garment out on, for example, towels to dry.

It is not necessary to wash a wool garment very often. It is usually sufficient to hang the garment up to air. Cotton yarn and blends containing linen and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend washing them in the same way as wool yarn.

Storage

Remember to store yarn and knitted items in plastic bags, tightly woven cotton bags, or a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarns are not moth-treated, as the available agents are not without side effects for allergy sufferers and in addition only remain effective until the first wash.
