MATERIALS AND MEASUREMENTS

SIZE
Various sizes from bandana to shawl (see image with sketches)

MATERIALS

  • LUNA: Small 50 g Isager Alpaca 1 / Medium 100 g Isager Alpaca 1 / Large 150 g Isager Alpaca 1
  • EVA: 100 g Isager Alpaca 2 and 75 g Isager Silk Mohair, knitted with one strand of each quality
  • NELLY: 25 g Isager Silk Mohair
  • ROSE: 25 g Isager Soft Fine

The burgundy version is knitted with 100 g Isager Alpaca 1, colour 36; the green version is knitted with 50 g Isager Alpaca 1, colour Thyme.

The yarns from Uldens Hus are also particularly well suited to these shawls. Uld 1 for Luna, on 3.5 mm needles. Uld 2 together with Isager Silk Mohair, on 5 mm needles for Eva, just as Eva is also beautifully knitted with two strands of Isager Silk Mohair.

CONSTRUCTION

The triangular shawl is knitted from the bottom point, increasing until the shawl reaches the desired size or there is enough yarn left for a stretchy bind-off.

The shawl can be knitted in many different yarn qualities and combinations. It can be knitted with a single or double strand, and you can experiment with using your leftover yarn in a multicoloured shawl, knitted in stripes or blocks of different colours.
Always join new yarn at the side of the work.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES

From No. 3.0 to No. 4.5 (see photo with sketches)

GAUGE

As outlined, your gauge swatch determines which needle you choose; here you can decide whether you want a looser or tighter look for your shawl.
