Half-chest measurement: 53 (61.5) cm
Total length: 52 (57) cm
SIZES
Note the considerable difference between the two sizes. This is because one pattern repeat spans 12 stitches, and the shape of the vest follows the pattern repeat. Also note that size S/M, with its deep armhole, can easily be worn by someone in size L if a slightly close-fitting version is desired.
For a smaller vest (size XS), Alpaca 3 can be worked alone on 6 mm needles with the stitch count for size S/M. This gives a half-chest measurement of 49.5 cm.
For a larger vest (sizes XXL–XXXL), Tvinni can be used instead of Spinni on 7 mm needles with the stitch count for size L/XL. This gives a half-chest measurement of 66.5 cm.
CONSTRUCTION
The vest is worked flat from the bottom up.
At the armhole, the work is divided into the back and front pieces. Ribbing is finished on the shoulders and back, and short rows are worked on the shoulder sections.
Stitches are picked up along the armhole and ribbed edgings are worked, finished with an Italian bind-off.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
6 mm and 6.5 mm needles, 5 mm crochet hook

One strand of each yarn on 6.5 mm needles
10 cm = 14 stitches
10 cm = 21 rows
Size XS – GAUGE in one strand of Alpaca 3 on 6 mm needles
10 cm = 16 stitches
10 cm = 23 rows
Sizes XXL–XXXL – GAUGE in one strand of Alpaca 3 and one strand of Spinni on 7 mm needles:
10 cm = 13 stitches
10 cm = 19 rows
