Isager
Isager Soft Fine - 37
Isager Soft Fine is like a slightly more luxurious Soft Mohair with 63% alpaca, 26% silk, and 11% yak. It is excellent for knitting with one strand or also as a companion thread.
The soft ISAGER SOFT with the brushed look is really popular, so we wanted to introduce a thinner variant as well. ISAGER SOFT is made like a cotton tube with fine alpaca fibers blown in and can only be made as a thick yarn. ISAGER SOFT FINE is made with a silk core, where a strand consisting of Alpaca and Yak is first made as a boucle and then brushed up.
So it is both a different production technique and fiber composition than ISAGER SOFT, but we think the term is similar enough to call it ISAGER SOFT FINE. ISAGER SOFT FINE contains yak wool and in the same way we know it from our s-colors, where black wool is mixed with white to give a speckled yarn, it is now the yak's dark color that brings the yarn to life. The yarn's soft appearance makes it look like Silk Mohair at first glance, but it is very different to knit with and easier to handle if you only want to knit with one strand. The yarn is incredibly soft and internally we call it "Isager's Cashmere".

Washing instructions
Wool should be hand washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can wash in cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Maintain the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process and finally do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted garment can advantageously be gently spun after washing. Place the garment in a laundry bag or a pillowcase. After spinning, lay the garment out on, for example, towels to dry.
It is not necessary to wash a wool garment so often. Usually, it is enough to hang the garment up for airing. Cotton yarn and blended yarn with linen and bamboo tolerate higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same washing as for wool yarn.
Storage
Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags or tightly woven cotton bags or in a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarn is not treated for moths, as the agents used are not without side effects for allergy sufferers and only last until the first wash.
