Construction
The sweater is knitted back and forth. The back is knitted first. Ribbing is knitted on the sides from the armhole. The rib stitches are put on hold while short rows are worked over the shoulders. Then the ribbing is knitted together with the shoulder stitches. Now stitches are picked up along the ribbing, the neckline is shaped, and the front is knitted. Finally, stitches are picked up at the armhole. Short rows are worked at the beginning of the sleeve so the stitches do not pull, and the sleeves are knitted back and forth.
Side and sleeve seams are sewn together.
