Isager Mulberry Silk
From the moment you first take this yarn in your hand, sweet music arises... and this even before you start knitting...!
Isager's new yarn quality is the absolute softest yarn we have to offer.
It is designed to be used as a soft companion thread that gives beautiful shine and softness without giving the garment the fuzzy surface that Silk Mohair provides.
Isager Mulberry Silk is a fine, thin, 2-ply yarn made of 100% silk.
Isager mainly uses this quality in combination with their other yarns.
All yarns are automatically enhanced when knitted together with Mulberry Silk. The silk adds softness and elegance to all projects when knitted with other yarns in the Isager series.
Mulberry Silk works especially well together with Isager Spinni or Tvinni (100% wool) or Isager Palet (100% cotton), as it gives a beautiful shine and a cool feel, complementing these more matte yarns. In combination with wool yarns, it provides extra softness without the fuzzy texture that Isager Silk Mohair has. It is particularly suitable for lighter garments, scarves, and baby clothes.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Wool should be hand washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can wash in cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process and do not wash above 28 degrees Celsius. The knitted garment can advantageously be gently spun after washing. Place the garment in a laundry bag or a pillowcase. After spinning, lay the garment out on towels to dry.
It is not necessary to wash a wool garment very often. Usually, it is enough to hang the garment out to air. Cotton yarn and blended yarns with linen and bamboo tolerate higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same washing as for wool yarn.
Storage
Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags or tightly woven cotton bags or in a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarns are not treated against moths, as the available treatments have side effects for allergy sufferers and only last until the first wash.
