Elbow-length sleeve version
If you are knitting the elbow-length version, add one skein where the yarn quantity is shown in bold for your selected size.

NOTE! The qualities can be combined as desired—please note, however, that Isager Baby works best with Trio 1. If you do not want the garment to be too tight, go up one size when knitting it in Isager Baby. Isager Baby is an elastic yarn that contracts slightly when knitted; please be aware, however, that the blouse will relax with wear.

MEASUREMENTS
Size guide: Allow approximately 5–10 cm of ease, depending on how you want your blouse to fit. Please measure a blouse that fits you well and choose the size that comes closest.

The measurements below are taken before washing.

Half bust circumference: 41 (45) 50 (54) 60 (65) 70 cm
Width from sleeve to sleeve: 51 (55) 60 (64) 70 (75) 80 cm
Width with elbow-length sleeves: 79 (83) 88 (92) 98 (103) 108
Full length measured at the back from the highest point of the shoulder: 44 (48) 50 (56) 58 (62) 65 cm

CONSTRUCTION
The blouse is knitted sideways, starting from the right sleeve, which is increased at the shoulder and under the arm so that the blouse has a good fit. Stitches are then cast on for the front and back pieces. At the neck opening, the work is divided so that the back piece is knitted first, followed by the front piece. The two pieces are joined again after the neckline. Once the front and back pieces are complete, place the stitches on stitch holders and decrease for the sleeve, finishing with the left sleeve. Finish with either a rolled edge or a small firm edge on both sleeves, and seam the side seams from the right side of the blouse.

The length of the blouse can be adjusted by casting on more or fewer stitches for the back and front pieces.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
Knitting needles size 4.5 – 80 cm
Knitting needles size 4.0 – 40 cm
For assembly, 2 to 3 x circular needles size 2.5 or 3.0 as auxiliary needles

GAUGE
In the stripe pattern on size 4.5 needles, knitted loosely with size 4.0 needles.
10 cm = 19 sts (20 sts after washing)
10 cm = 29 rows (30 rows after washing)

Your gauge is crucial to the finished result; if you knit too loosely, your blouse will be too wide and especially too long, so be sure to make a gauge swatch. Make it an enjoyable preparation, and remember that it is a short investment of time that can help ensure your blouse fits you perfectly.

The pattern consists of 1 purl row followed by 2 knit rows. This is a project where 2/3 of the stitches are knitted, and the texture can be a little “waffle-like,” so it is a good project for becoming comfortable with purl stitches. Be sure to “tighten the purl stitches slightly” so that they do not become too loose.
