Hans (and hers) Sweater is a simple, classic basic sweater for children.
The sweater is knitted in the round from the top down. First, the neckline is knitted in ribbing, then the neckline is shaped using short rows, German Short Rows. The body and sleeves are finished with ribbing.
The sweater can be knitted either with or without mohair.
Sizes: 6 (9) 12 (18) months // 2 (4) 6 (8) years
Full length: approx. 27 (29) 30 (32) // 34 (39) 43 (47) cm – or desired length
Body circumference: approx. 50 (54) 58 (62) // 66 (72) 76 (82) cm
Sleeve length: approx. 16 (17) 19 (21.5) // 23 (26) 30 (34) cm – or desired length
Needles: 80 cm circular needles, 3.5 and 4.5 mm, and 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles
Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles
Yarn: 2 strands of Knitting for Olive Merino or Cotton Merino (250 m / 50 g), or 1 strand of
Knitting for Olive Merino or Cotton Merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair (225 m / 25 g)
