Esther Vest - PetiteKnit

The Esther Vest is knitted from top to bottom with textured knitting. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. Then the shoulder sections are knitted from the stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. The body is knitted back and forth. Along the armhole, a ribbed edge is knitted. Finally, button bands and a ribbed edge at the neckline are knitted.

Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. You can make swatches following the charts in the knitting pattern.

Size Guide

The Esther Vest should have a positive ease of about 6 cm. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The finished vest measurements are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A vest in size S has a finished width of 96 cm and will, in this example, provide a positive ease of 6 cm. The measurement chart is available here.
