Ulysse from the French De Rerum Natura is a fantastic merino yarn, both soft and rustic at the same time!

Ulysse is a light, soft, and fluffy two-ply yarn, perfect for fair isle patterns and multicolor knitting, but also excellent for textures such as cables and other textured patterns or to highlight a beautifully rustic lace.

100% Merino wool, Merino d'Arles and Portuguese merino

Ulysse is offered in several natural colors that are a result of the blend between the white and naturally brown/black merinos.

Sel salt
Poivre Blanc white pepper
Poivre et Sel pepper and salt
Poivre pepper

In addition to these natural colors, De Rerum Natura has created an incredibly beautiful color palette with both subtle and strong colors.

Ulysse gets, just like its big brother Gilliatt, its special character from the blend of white organic Merino d'Arles from Provence, France and black Portuguese merino from the Alentejo valley, Portugal. All merino comes from farms where animal welfare and wool quality are the focus.
All manufacturing steps in this yarn occur in a short chain: France and Portugal for sourcing, Belgium or Italy for washing, France for spinning and dyeing.
This with a constant desire for traceability and to reduce its environmental impact.

De Rerum Natura works only with ethical and organic producers, and we are incredibly happy, proud, and grateful to collaborate with them!

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with wool detergent. Then lay flat to dry, avoid rubbing or stretching the garment.

If you want to try machine washing, we recommend first testing washing a swatch on the wool program.

Note that very strong colors, such as Émeraude, may bleed a little during blocking and washing. If you plan to knit together with light yarns, we recommend testing washing your swatch first. If the dark/strong color bleeds (releases color in the water), we advise rinsing the knitted piece several times until the water is completely clear before laying it to dry.
