Daisy Sweater, designed for small children, is a playful and cheerful interpretation of the classic raglan sweater, transforming this basic garment into something out of a fairy tale. It is knitted seamlessly from the top down in the round in stockinette stitch, beginning with a ribbed neckband, followed by short rows at the neckline and raglan increases to the underarms. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold to be knitted after the body is finished. Ribbed edges finish the body and sleeves.
The flowers are knitted in two simple steps: the center is knitted into the sweater as you work, and the petals are embroidered onto the finished sweater afterward.
