We have chosen to knit with our beautiful Norwegian yarn Varde from Hillesvåg.

The Dagmar Zipper Sweater is knitted from top to bottom with textured knitting. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. Then the shoulder sections are knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. The body is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles from stitches picked up at the armhole. Finally, a ribbed edge is knitted at the neck and double-knit edges at the front, where a zipper is attached.

Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. You can make swatches according to the chart in the knitting pattern.

Size guide

The Dagmar Zipper Sweater should have a positive ease of about 26 cm in the smallest sizes, but gradually less in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a chest width of 116 cm and in the mentioned example will give a positive ease of 26 cm.
