Dagmar Sweater Junior - PetiteKnit
We have chosen to knit with the soft, pill-free, and durable Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive.
The Dagmar Sweater Junior is knitted from top to bottom with textured knitting. First, the back is knitted back and forth. Then the shoulder sections are knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. These are then joined at the front to continue into the front piece. The front and back pieces are then joined and continue in the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted from stitches picked up along the armhole. The neck's double-folded neckband is knitted last from stitches picked up.

Size guide
The Dagmar Sweater Junior should have a positive ease of about 24 cm relative to the chest measurement. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-12) 12-14 years correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (78) 82 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). If you/the recipient, for example, measures 56 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 3-4 years. A sweater in size 3-4 years has a chest circumference of 80 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 24 cm. If the measured chest measurement deviates from the age guide, you should be careful to adjust the lengths to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/longer than average.
