Cloud Sweater Junior is knitted from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, and short rows are knitted to create a shoulder slope. Then the shoulder sections are knitted separately back and forth. Here too, short rows are knitted. The parts are then joined at the front and knitting continues on the front piece. The front piece and back are then joined to shape the body, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are knitted in the round on a circular needle from stitches picked up along the armhole. The neck's stockinette collar is knitted last from picked-up stitches.

Size guide

Cloud Sweater Junior should have a positive ease of about 20-25 cm relative to the chest measurement. The sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-12) 12-14 years correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (78) 82 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). If you/the recipient, for example, measures 62 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 6-7 years. A sweater in size 6-7 years has a chest circumference of 87 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 25 cm. If the measured chest measurement deviates from the age guide, you should be careful to adjust the length to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/longer than average. Size chart is available here.
