Our Classic Rib is a simple and classic sweater with a slightly high neckline. The pattern originated as "Olives Classic Rib," a children's version of the same model. We have added a strand of mohair in this adult edition to give the classic rib sweater a more elegant, soft, and exclusive look.
The sweater is knitted in the round, top-down.
The neckline is shaped using short rows; the pattern uses German Short Rows.
Increases for the sleeves are made with raglan shaping, then the sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or on circular needles using the "Magic loop" method.
The sweater is very flexible in fit and can easily be knitted longer/shorter as desired.
Classic Rib is designed to have a negative ease, meaning the finished garment is smaller than the actual bust measurement. When choosing a size, you can advantageously use the "Guiding bust measurement" section as a starting point to find the right size. For example, if you measure 96 cm around the bust, you should choose size M to achieve the intended fit.
