Full length from shoulders: approximately 54 (56) 60 (64) 68 cm - or desired length

Needles: Circular needles 4.5 mm and 6 mm
Gauge: 15 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 6 mm needles in rib (3 knit, 3 purl)
Soak the swatch and let it dry before measuring the gauge
Yarn: 1 strand Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125 m / 50 g) and 2 strands Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m / 25 g)
The sweater in the picture is knitted in Heavy Merino and Soft Silk Mohair - Rust
Yarn requirements: Heavy Merino: 350 (400) 450 (500) 550 g
Soft Silk Mohair: 200 (225) 250 (275) 300 g
The Chunky Rib Sweater is a chunky sweater knitted in rib with a light and high neckline and a loose fit. The sweater is knitted in the round, top-down in a classic rib pattern. The rib pattern is interrupted by another rib pattern on the raglan increases, which start at the neckline and continue along the body.
The neckline is shaped using short rows made with the German Short Rows technique.
You increase for the sleeves using raglan increases, then the sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the magic loop technique.
The sweater is very flexible in fit and can be knitted shorter or longer depending on your preference.
The Chunky Rib Sweater is designed to allow room for movement and is therefore knitted larger than the actual chest measurement, i.e., positive ease. When choosing a size, you can refer to the section “guideline chest measurement” and from that find the right size. For example, if your chest measures 98 cm, you should choose size 2 for the sweater to have the correct fit.
