Bea Blouse - PetiteKnit

Bea Top is knitted from the bottom up. The body is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch, then the work is divided into front and back, which are knitted separately back and forth in stockinette stitch with decreases on both sides. The top is shaped with short rows at the top of the yoke to create a boat neckline.

Make a gauge swatch to check your knitting tension. Wash the swatch before measuring, as the recommended yarn may stretch during washing. Also note that the top will stretch a couple of centimeters with wear after washing and blocking in the recommended yarn—take this into account when choosing your size.

Size guide

Bea Top is designed to have negative ease of approx. -8 cm compared with your bust measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm, measured directly on the body. The measurements of the finished top are listed on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit size S. A size S top has a bust circumference of 82 cm and will provide -8 cm of negative ease in this example. A measurement chart is available here.
