This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
It works perfectly with one strand of Merino together with one strand of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive.
The Balloon Sweater has balloon sleeves, which start far down on the shoulders and are defined with a tight ribbing at the wrist. The Balloon Sweater is knitted from top to bottom. At the beginning of the yoke, shoulder increases are knitted, while short rows are worked to shape the neckline. After this, the front and back pieces are knitted separately (back and forth in stockinette stitch). Under the armhole, the work is joined and the rest of the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are also knitted in the round on circular needles and finally on double-pointed needles (or using the Magic Loop technique). The Balloon Sweater requires no seaming except for weaving in the yarn ends.
Make a gauge swatch before you start. Remember to wash and block the swatch to see if the gauge changes after washing.
Size Guide
The Balloon Sweater should have a positive ease of about 10-15 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) correspond to a bust measurement taken on your body of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements are only accurate if the gauge is respected). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size fits you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S.
A sweater in size S has a chest circumference of 101 cm and will in the mentioned example give a positive ease of 11 cm.
