Preferably knit with Luna, 100% lambswool from Hillesvåg (200 m/100 g), held together with Alpacka 1 from Isager (400 m/50 g).
Dagmar Jacket is knitted from the top down in textured knitting. First, the upper back is knitted with increases. The shoulder sections are then knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. The body is knitted back and forth. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles from stitches picked up around the armholes. Finally, button bands and a ribbed neck edge are knitted.
Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. You can make swatches from charts in knitting patterns.
Size guide
Dagmar Jacket is designed to have approximately 26 cm of positive ease in the smallest sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are provided on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you begin knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or at the widest point of your body), you should knit a size S. A size S cardigan has a bust circumference of 116 cm and will provide 26 cm of positive ease in this example. The measurement chart is available here.
