Isager Aran Tweed - Green

ISAGER ARAN TWEED is a thick, single-ply yarn with a raw, slightly rustic texture. It is suitable for thick sweaters, and the designer My Favorite Things Knitwear has designed such a beautiful skirt in Aran Tweed together with 1 strand of Isager Silk Mohair. It is also suitable for cushions. When knitted together with Silk Mohair or Alpaca 1, the rustic yarn becomes so soft that it is also ideal for scarves and hats. Although Aran Tweed is only available in a few beautiful shades, when knitted together with other yarns it can look as though it comes in many more colours.

Aran: 4.5 mm needles = 14 sts / 20 rows
Aran + Alpaca 1: 5 mm needles = 13 sts / 18 rows
Aran + Silk Mohair: 5.5 mm needles = 13 sts / 16 rows

Care instructions
Wool should be hand-washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool cycle that can be used with cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the temperature consistent throughout the washing and rinsing process, and do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted garment can be gently spin-dried after washing. Place the garment in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After spin-drying, lay the garment flat on, for example, towels to dry.

A wool garment does not need to be washed as often. It is usually sufficient to hang the garment up to air. Cotton yarn and yarn blends containing linen and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend washing them in the same way as wool yarn.

Storage
Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags, tightly woven cotton bags, or a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarns are not moth-treated, as the available treatments are not without side effects for allergy sufferers and in addition only last until the first wash.
