We have chosen to knit one in the softest merino from Knitting for Olive.
The Ankers Romper has a yoke, which consists of ribbed sections with increases followed by classic raglan increases. The romper is knitted from top to bottom.
The Ankers Romper is first knitted back and forth on circular needles, before the work is finally joined just before the legs and knitted in the round. The first and last 7 sts on each needle are knitted in rib and overlap each other to form button bands. Buttonholes are knitted along the left button band as you go. Read about buttonholes below before you start knitting. Sleeves and legs are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique.
